Level 2 - Know what you are capable of and why
Much of the work of socially acceptable "education" is to move away from your baser instincts, by way of withdrawing your individuality and becoming more "fit for a successful life" (according to what society teaches you is success, Of course). However, with this indoctrination you are forced to accept everything that you are and are not capable of doing, everything that is possible or not, and everything that is real or not.
This is the direct reason why many capabilities of both your body and your consciousness are dismissed as "impossible or unreal", thereby causing you to lose the very ability to develop them.
However, all these capacities remain latent in the form of "instincts" throughout your life, and you only need to become aware of them, paying attention to them.
a) Your body, how it works and its capabilities.
Let's talk about you as an individual/human. Remembering the first existential principle, you as an individual are made up of systems, each of them interconnecting with the rest in order to give rise to your existence. The first conjunction is between the biological system/organism that is your body and the system/consciousness or conscious energy that inhabits and animates that biological organism.
So, in terms of your biological system/organism (your body), it has been endowed with all the capabilities necessary for your consciousness to survive and interact and throughout your life to experience this world in balance, thus acquiring new knowledge that you contribute through your belonging and transcendence to the system/human species of which you are a part.
This means that your body, with all its complex systems, was designed (and has been perfected over countless generations) as a masterpiece of biological engineering.
Imagine for a moment that in a science fiction story you are told about a biological suit, which was designed to colonize a planet; And that it has the capacity to experiment sensorially, to maintain itself, to adapt, to defend itself, to repair itself, to regenerate, to improve itself and to clone itself. Said in this way it sounds surprising; And although it does seem like something worthy of science fiction, this is exactly what your body is. In case you doubt it or have never considered it that way, think a little about its capabilities:
Sensory experimentation capacity: Perhaps this is the capacity that you have most present in your life. The ability to “feel”. Which occurs through organs that receive and interpret light waves, vibrational waves, suspended particles, chemical properties and contact, to convert them into electrical signals, through which your brain tells you what is happening around you.
Maintenance capacity: Your body is capable of transforming food into energy that keeps all your systems working; but not only that, it obtains from an unimaginable number of sources, nutrients that through complex chemical processes, it uses to create an endless number of molecules that it uses to regulate all the complex processes that it carries out. It autonomously deals with transforming these foods, taking what it requires for its subsistence and discarding what it does not need.
Adaptability: The human body has the ability to adapt to many different factors: temperature, pressure, humidity, altitude, diet, amount of sleep, amount of physical activity and a very long etcetera. This means that the purpose of your body is to ensure your survival in the most functional way possible, regardless of the conditions that surround you.
Defense Capacity: Your body is equipped with a whole system that deals with maintaining its own defense against other types of organisms such as viruses or bacteria: The immune system, which is not only ready to neutralize any type of threat, but also which is also adaptive, which means that it is capable of creating specialized cells to destroy any new type of new threat that arises.
Repair capacity: Your body's “automatic” processes include, of course, repair mechanisms. In other words, it implies that if you suffer an injury, such as a cut or a burn, your body will take the necessary measures to make the necessary repairs. As with a broken bone, if you are able to position it correctly and immobilize it, your body will automatically repair it.
Regeneration Ability: Everything in your body regenerates. Thanks to the incessant cell multiplication, our body has the capacity to regenerate its skin, its blood, its tissues, its bones, its muscles, practically everything. This allows it not only to maintain optimal operation of all systems, but also to make possible the repairs it performs, also in an "automatic" way.
Ability to improve itself: Your body has the ability to improve and increase its performance in any aspect. In the same way that with constant effort, the muscles undergo visible transformations, your body can be improved in as many aspects as you can imagine, in order to stay in an ideal state of functioning.
Reproduction Capacity: Although it is not necessary to explain the capacity of your body to reproduce, it is necessary to reconsider that, in doing so, it obeys the instinct of transcendence, by inheriting through its genetic code all that adaptation, knowledge and improvements that as an individual biological has acquired, which is the way by which it transcends to improve the system to which it belongs.
Now, if you pay attention you will realize that all the processes that make up these capacities of your body are executed in an "automatic" way, that is, they do not require you to consciously take charge of them. So you don't have to remember to breathe, or make your heart beat, or command the deployment of antibodies in the face of a threat. Since everything, absolutely EVERYTHING that involves the functioning of your body is in charge of your consciousness, speaking of it as the conscious energy that animates your biological body.
But then, how is it possible that it is your consciousness that is in charge of these processes if you do not carry them out consciously?
At first glance it seems to make no sense, however, for it to make sense, it is necessary to know what makes up your consciousness in the full extent of the word.
b) Your consciousness, what makes it up and how it influences your life.
Now, like every individual in any species, your existence belongs to a larger system, which in turn joins another larger one, which gives you the responsibility of existing under the second existential principle (of balance), and to guide you on the path If you live in compliance with that principle, your existence brings with it a detailed guide that is manifested through six basic instincts: Survival, Experimentation / Acquisition of knowledge, Adaptation, Belonging, Transcendence and Balance. So these instincts constitute the guide to live fulfilling the principle of balance, but not only that, they are the guide to achieve the ideal state of full existence of every individual, which, for us as humans, has been reduced to the term happiness.
As we already mentioned, talking about your consciousness implies conceiving it as an energy that is aware of itself and that animates or gives life to your biological body. However, obeying the first existential principle, it is not a unit either, but is made up of systems, which we can break down as a conscious or social mind system (ego) and an instinctive mind system (unconscious).
As it is logical to deduce, all the automatic processes of your body mentioned above, act under the control and administration of your instinctive mind, that is, of your unconscious, since it fulfills the function of being the base energy that animates and keeps the body running. biological body, acting in strict adherence to existential principles and manifesting itself in our consciousness through the six instincts that we already mentioned and that we could describe very broadly as follows:
Survival Instinct: Probably the most identifiable instinct for being the most basic. The survival instinct is the protocol by which your unconscious makes use of all the “automatic” resources of the body for a simple purpose: To keep you alive long enough to fulfill your purpose as an individual/human. But not only that, you could also place it as that force that you don't know where it comes from and that forces you to move forward every time you think about not doing it.
Instinct of Experimentation / Acquisition of knowledge: Another of the undeniable instincts that are present in your life as in that of any other human being, is the instinctive search for experimentation or acquisition of knowledge. This is the instinct that, manifesting itself from an early age in the characteristic curiosity of children, invites you in an almost obligatory way to experience absolutely everything that is possible in the world around you, as the method for the purpose of acquiring of knowledge through all possible means. Since this is one of the most important purposes of our existence.
Adaptation Instinct: Probably one of the instincts that are most displaced by the social consciousness or ego; However, when this instinct is not minimized, it can well be described as the ability to resolve situations that present any type of conflict in a simple and natural way, as well as the quality of having a flexible posture in coexistence with other individuals. The adaptive instinct serves the purpose of each individual being able to make decisions that go against their momentary desires while they are in favor of a greater benefit.
Instinct of Belonging: It has the purpose of making us aware that we belong to something greater than ourselves, that we were created with a purpose and that rewards will come from fulfilling it. In this instinct we find the certainty that we are connected to something immeasurable and much more complex than ourselves, that is why all religions find their foundation in this instinct, naming it the "Search for God".
Transcendence Instinct: The easiest way to identify this instinct is to listen to a child who dreams of growing up to become a renowned scientist, an outstanding athlete, a heroic firefighter, policeman or famous actress. However, it is not that instinct pushes us to seek "fame", it drives us to seek recognition, since this invariably stems from the individual's contribution to the system. That is, the instinct of transcendence pushes you to go beyond what is required, to contribute something for the benefit of another individual or the system to which you belong, rewarding yourself with the recognition of that same individual and, therefore, of the system.
Balance Instinct: This instinct acts in your life with the purpose that you "do not harm" anyone so that your ego can obtain a benefit or satisfaction. Caricatured as "the voice of your conscience", it usually manifests itself in you as a general discomfort or discomfort that you experience after a certain decision or action (that feeling that you simply cannot identify where it comes from). And it is that, just as the instinct of transcendence when being followed gratifies you with recognition, when the instinct of balance is ignored, this lack of balance penalizes you with unfavorable experiences.
So, from the moment that the energy of your unconscious essence came to animate your body in formation within the womb of your mother, this knowledge was already present within that same essence, unalterable, incorruptible and in total control of the functioning of your body. This immeasurably important part of what constitutes you as an individual, in addition to being the "automatic pilot" of your vital functions and the manifestation of your instincts, is also a repository where absolutely all your experiences, experiences and events are stored throughout. of your life, even if you consciously “don't remember them”.
Thus, this part of your consciousness, which has lived in your body since before you were born, is aware of itself and its purpose as an individual and as part of the system to which it belongs, and it is the base on which it is built. that conscious part of you which is influenced by various factors in your growth and which, once built, constitutes your ego.
Also, this unconscious part of you has decision and action priority over your conscious mind (ego), sometimes becoming responsible for 90% to 95% of your decisions, without you even being aware of it; Which means that, in terms of hierarchy, this unconscious essence would represent zero consciousness, since it can overwrite decisions in the ego, while the ego cannot overwrite the action protocol of the unconscious.
Now, complementing the totality of your consciousness as a human, is the aforementioned conscious mind, or ego. This begins to be built after birth, fed initially by the limited experimentation of the newborn and directly influenced by the characteristics of the system (family) that surrounds him.
It is important that you take into account that, if you observe the behavior of children in general, you will verify the fact that the instincts that we mentioned before are still very present in childhood. So children tend to be curious, creative individuals, honest to the point of having no filter, always with great expectations about their future adult lives, adaptable, empathetic and in search of recognition.
This is due to the fact that in childhood the construction of the ego has barely begun, which in general is in charge of the indoctrination provided based on family customs, later the school, the individual's social circle, the career chosen, and a long etcetera, all these being examples of the tools that the system/society uses to carry out the “social capture” of each individual and conform them to the standards that the system itself considers acceptable.
This "social capture" of the individual through indoctrination consists of "teaching" him who he is, what his purpose is, what is correct for him to think and do, what he should feel and how he should behave; he is also taught what is "essential" for him to learn and what are the ways in which he must contribute to society, also teaching him what requirements he must meet to be considered successful. Thus, using all these "teachings" as a base mold, the inherited social structure captures each of the instincts through which the zero or unconscious consciousness manifests itself to guide us towards a fully happy state of life, and replaces them with predetermined teachings, ideas, reactions, feelings and attitudes that as the individual ages, will become the structure of the primary consciousness or ego.
And it is precisely for this reason that this social capture does not encounter resistance by speaking of a large majority of individuals, since this indoctrination makes use of conscious instincts as the foundation for its lessons, thus making the individual find instinctive verification of what what is being taught. Thus, a successful social capture causes the ego of an individual to recognize his survival instinct as one of competitiveness, the experimentation instinct would be replaced by the "teaching" of already existing knowledge, the adaptation instinct will be understood by the search for comfort, the instinct of belonging will be satisfied through religion, the instinct that seeks transcendence will be interpreted by a desire for fame or money, and finally the instinct of balance will be replaced by what the ego identifies as "the law". In this way, the result is an ego molded by society and trained to defend its beliefs as the only absolute truth, and finds support for these beliefs in the misinterpretation of its instincts, it being clear that, at different levels of social capture, different identifiable types of ego.
In this way, your existence as an individual, how you conceive life, what you believe, what you think and what you feel; your actions and decisions that have shaped the course of your life have been the result of the interaction of these two parts of your consciousness. On the one hand, your unconscious or zero consciousness, manifesting itself all the time through your instincts, to guide you to survive, experience the world and acquire knowledge, understand your belonging to the system of existence itself and transcend through your balanced contribution to that system by that you belong, that is: fulfill your purpose as an individual/cell and thus, in balance, reach a state of full happiness.
On the other hand, there is the ego, or rather, your conscious mind, which has been trained so that you spend your whole life running in pursuit of happiness, which you conceive as such through the examples of other individuals, whom you automatically compare with yourself in parameters of education, money, fame, power, love, family, beliefs, achievements, etc.; constantly telling you that when you succeed in one more of those parameters, then you will be happy.
This is due to the fact that the ego interprets happiness as the accumulation of a series of "requirements" that must be present in your life, which are reminded of you at each stage of it. In the highly successful social capture ego, in order to “be happy” it is necessary to have a title, a partner, a good job, money, success, children, and obey God.
At this point it is mandatory to note that what could be socially conceived as the formula for happiness, that is: Happiness = The sum of all the socially celebrated factors in your life, is false. Lots of evidence supports that even though an individual has everything said in his life, this does not guarantee his happiness, since this state belongs to the total domain of zero or unconscious consciousness and is achieved through the fulfillment of the ego towards others. protocols of this unconscious.
In short, both zero or unconscious consciousness and primary consciousness or ego pursue what would presumably be the same goal: happiness.
However, while the first acts in strict accordance with the existential principles, the basis of the instructions written in your instincts; the second, he acts in a (almost always “apparent”) follow-up of what he has been taught in the process of social capture.
Well, but how does this influence your life?
This does not influence your life, this determines your life. As we already mentioned, the zero consciousness or unconscious has priority over the ego or primary consciousness, but the ego cannot cancel, overwrite or modify the laws of the unconscious, nor alter its protocol. So, when the unconscious "knows" what must be done to act in accordance with existential principles, and the ego "thinks it knows" what must be done, the unconscious can override or sabotage the decisions and actions of the ego as protocol of "emergency" to prevent you as an individual from causing an imbalance, in your own life or in the system to which you belong. Which perfectly explains why not all individuals get what they want; and it is not that this has absolutely nothing to do with the concept that we have of "the luck of a few", but with the fact that you are able to achieve an alignment and coherence between the two sources that give rise to your consciousness.
c) How to live with yourself and why things "don't work out for you"
Said in the simplest possible way, thanks to the social capture exerted on individuals during the period of ego building, the most common thing is that the vast majority of them are right now in search of that missing element to achieve happiness, following the examples and abiding by the rules that have been taught, and even so, that happiness does not finish arriving. Given this, the social system will justify such an absence of happiness with concepts such as: destiny, luck, the will of God, or even why not? The same genetics, that is to say, anything in order not to accept that the social system is wrong in terms of its interpretation of the "happiness formula", and beyond this, that this system of social capture more than propitiating a happy life, in most cases encourages a frantic hunt for those achievements with which the social system promises us happiness.
It should not be necessary to emphasize that this method, far from bringing any individual to a state of genuine happiness, is much more likely to turn him into a constant bundle of frustrations, since those "achievements" he automatically pursues have not been achieved. conceived by itself as a goal, the goals are chosen by the system for it through the instruction of what "is right".
The result of this instruction is then, a human society full of individuals who meet the requirements of: acting according to the manners taught by their family, having attended education until completing a career, having a job, a partner, children, such Sometimes they even go to church on Sundays, but they still don't consider themselves happy. And despite this, they contribute to the perpetuation of this method, teaching it to their children, hoping that it will work for them. Maybe?
In this way, we find that as the generations advance, they seem to accumulate more and more requirements to be able to consider themselves successful individuals in life and have the right to happiness, as if the social system protected itself in the absence of individual happiness, making it seem "almost" impossible to achieve.
However, what seems to be the worst consequence of this is that a large majority of individuals are so successfully captured by the social system that they not only ignore the inborn instincts that would naturally lead them to happiness, but also attempt to against them in order to get what the ego thinks it needs, thus creating an imbalance within the same consciousness, a fact that, in short, explains why "things don't work out for you", and why it is really very logical:
Your zero consciousness, or unconscious, which is the basic operating program of your existence (so to speak), has the function of guiding you to fulfill a purpose, it guides you through your instincts to live life, to experience what that surrounds you, to act in balance within you and with the other systems, to contribute to them and to transcend, always in respect and adherence to existential principles since this is what guarantees your state of happiness.
Your primary consciousness, or ego, which is your conscious mind, the result of all the teachings of the social system, has as its goal (the intention to) reach happiness at some point, after having fulfilled all the requirements that the system social imposes and, of course, after you solve all the problems that (noticing it or not) have been created by that "hunt" for what your ego understands as happiness.
Now, we could perhaps say that both systems of consciousness seek exactly the same thing: “happiness”; However, since its conception, abysmal differences open up for both systems, since zero consciousness executes the fulfillment of a purpose to reach an ideal state of existence; While the ego executes a collection of requirements, events, relationships or objects in order to fill the absence of that fullness that the ideal state of existence grants.
It is very logical then to understand that in most individuals there is an internal discrepancy regarding the purpose of their lives (to say the least), the most common symptom being as simple as: Not knowing what you want. But it doesn't stop there, because by "not knowing what you want", you end up influenced by the social system, which tells you (for example) that you surely need a partner to be happy. So you ask yourself the question, but as usual you look for confirmation from the outside, and as if "by magic" you meet a known couple and notice how "happy they look" and this causes you to start seeing signs in everywhere, hearts, a romantic comedy on broadcast television, a commercial… So you've made up your mind, the signs don't lie and you determine that “you need a partner”. Regardless of what element is taken as an example, when the ego makes the decision to go after that something, which it has convinced itself it needs to be happy, it further minimizes the attention paid to the instincts of zero consciousness, which logically increases the discrepancy between the objectives of both systems of consciousness.
What is important here is learning to notice the action protocol followed by the unconscious (zero consciousness) in the face of a significant discrepancy between its purpose and the ego's objective:
Neutralization: Your unconscious cancels (neutralizes) the decisions of the ego.
Capture: Your unconscious takes control of your actions.
Penalty: Your unconscious creates adverse situations to draw your ego away from its goal.
We can clarify the operation of this protocol by continuing with the previous example:
Let's say that your ego is convinced that you need a partner while your unconscious knows that your lack of happiness is due to an instinctive search for transcendence. In the neutralization stage, the unconscious will cancel the decisions you make to promote getting a partner. If you decide to call someone who might be a prospect in the afternoon, you'll "forget about it" because of any other situation; If you had decided to go out for the weekend looking to meet someone, you may have a sudden cold and you will no longer be in the mood, and so on.
However, the ego may still be convinced that a partner is what you need, so you go ahead and maybe date or even find a partner, so the unconscious will implement the capture level. This means that maybe on that date you made a comment that ruined everything and you “don't even know why you said that”, or maybe you wanted to kiss him and ended up hitting him on the nose, or why not? Maybe you "accidentally" called him by your ex's name...
Until now, maybe you decide to give up, and analyze why those "unfavorable events" have happened, maybe you even pay attention to your instinct and decide to put your attention on deciphering what you feel... Or maybe your ego is convinced that you do. happened is nothing more than "bad luck" and decide to move on. In this case, your unconscious would enter the penalty phase, this being the one that represents "adversity, sorrow or suffering" in life. Following suit, that desire for a partner can turn into a destructive relationship that is really painful for you to be in. But why?
Adversity, pain, suffering appear when, in order to satisfy the need that the ego believes it has for a partner (in this case), you fall into actions that harm, damage or hurt others and, therefore, affect the principle of balance.
And it is not that there is absolutely nothing "wrong" with wanting a partner, or anything else you could want, and it does not mean that you are not "made for love" at all. It's just that sometimes what your ego thinks you need, far from promoting a balance that contributes to the purpose of your life, creates an imbalance, which if not corrected could lead to a penalty.
So, you may not see conflict or difficulty in anything you want (and there is nothing wrong), it's just that the unconscious or zero consciousness has access to unimaginable amounts of information that your ego aware of. he doesn't have the slightest idea; Part of this information is all the experiences you have had, absolutely all of them, your reactions, memories that you have consciously left behind, etc. Based on this information, your unconscious performs mathematical operations in which it projects the result of the interaction of your current state as an individual in a partner system. If the result of these projections contributes or promotes your (your) purpose as an individual, that is, if it will serve as a teaching or as a means to transcend, the unconscious will allow you what you want. If, on the contrary, the result of these predictions leans towards an imbalance or damage to yourself or others, the unconscious will initiate its defense protocol, moving you away from the objective of your ego and penalizing you if you have fallen out of balance.
This is the means by which zero consciousness has the ability and authority to intervene in your life, to guide you in understanding your purpose as an individual and help you bring about, maintain or restore balance within you, to begin with. Since, without a balance between the priorities of both systems of consciousness, you will always be tied to the "emergency" protocol of your unconscious, without real power to make decisions and with the constant feeling of frustration for not knowing what is causing this situation.
The interesting part, in case you were wondering, would be to confirm the implicit fact that if you, as a conscious ego, can understand your purpose and thus eliminate the discrepancy between the systems that make up your consciousness, you will be able to become aware of your degree of consciousness. imbalance, to take the necessary actions and put the balance back in balance with the system to which you belong; And once this is done, create exactly the life you want to live, in accordance with the fulfillment of your purpose and without the security restriction of your unconscious.
